​to Southern View Stables
The Southern View Stables are located in the wonderful Wicklow Valley on the edge of a cliff from where you have a breathtaking view of the sea. The house and associated barn were built in 1814 and then stood empty for several years after the builder went bankrupt. Emilia`s great great-grandparents got the house in 1840 as a wedding present and instantly start to expand the barn to a stable which has 8 generously sized boxes for its four-legged residents. They were breeder of excellent sport and carriage horses. Through all the ages until now the Southern View Stables are in the hands of the Thomson family. During some restauration when I and my husband took over the Stable from my grandparents we expanded the original stable into 13 also generously sized and modern boxes. Our horses won´t miss any comfort.
​If you ever visit Wicklow Valley, you will have sometimes the feeling that the time has stopped. The small cottages and imposing town houses, carriages on the streets... Everyone who came to Wicklow Valley also immediatly fell in love with the gorgeous landscape and don´t want to leave anymore.
We are just a small stable but we want to raise our horses with the most care and love. Every horse will be promoted due to his talents.
